JESUS, THE INVINCIBLE CONQUEROR

It was a Palm Sunday when the Lord Jesus Christ rode down the slopes of the Olivet and entered the city of Jerusalem triumphantly, just a few days before His crucifixion. He was well aware of what was in store for Him there, and He foretold to His disciples that He shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: and they shall scourge Him, and put Him to death: and on the third day He shall rise again (Luke 18:32-33). In precise fulfillment of the prophecy of Zechariah, at His command, His disciples brought an ass with her colt (Matthew 21:1-3), put on them their clothes and set the Lord thereon, where never man sat.

His triumphal entry was not marked by any kind of show of power and pomp but of meekness and lowliness. Prophet Zechariah said: "Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your King comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt, the foal of an ass" (Zechariah 9:9).

And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the tree and strawed them in the way” (Mark 11:8). Spreading of the garments in the way was the ancient way of recognition of one's royalty (2 Kings 9:13). The mob marched by taking palm branches and shouting "Hosanna!" (John 12:13). Palm branches were the symbol of expression of victory in the Biblical times. Those who led the procession and those who followed shouted saying “Hosanna: Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord: Blessed is the Kingdom of our father David, that comes in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the Highest”, which means “save us, Lord, who lives in Heaven”.

We see that a few days later, the mob cried for His blood, saying, “Crucify Him, Crucify Him”. The Lord Jesus being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, was taken, and by wicked hands crucified and slain… (Acts 2:23-24). He was cut off from the land of the living: for the transgression of His people was He stricken, to save mankind from the jaws of eternal death. The chief priests and the Pharisees were busy securing the sepulchre as best as they could, by sealing the sepulchre and setting a guard with the help of Pilate the Roman governor. But by conquering death, the Lord victoriously rose from the grave on the third day as He had foretold. Jesus said, “No man takes My life from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again” (John 10:18).

All those who confess their sins and trust in the Lord Jesus for their salvation will share in the victory won by Christ over sin and death. Apostle Paul speaks about the victory of the believing Christians. “We shall all be changed at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye that those saints who are dead in Christ would be raised in glory first, followed by those alive in Christ. Then shall be fulfilled the saying, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory?” Dear reader, do you have the hope of eternal life beyond this life on the earth, if not confess your sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ right now and be saved.

JESUS, THE GREAT HIGH PRIEST

It is Finished”, Jesus cried with a loud voice and yielded up the ghost. It was the cry of triumph, which echoed into the heavens. At that very moment was heard a sharp ripping noise of the veil of the temple into twain, from the top to the bottom, which separated the “holy of holies”. The price for our redemption from sin was fully paid and the most holy place did lay open and the temple service and all the rituals associated with it became superfluous. The worshippers no longer require a high priest to sacrifice animals, but they could approach God directly through the Lord Jesus Christ. A new and living way was opened for the whole humanity for the cleansing of their sins. Extraordinary events that followed the crucifixion of Christ on the cross were that the earth did quake and the rocks rent and the graves were opened; and many of the bodies of the saints which slept arose and so on.

The office of the high priest can be traced to Aaron, the brother of Moses, of the tribe of Levi (Exodus 28:1; Numbers 18:7). The high priest had to offer a sin offering not only for the sin of the whole congregation, but for himself also (Leviticus 4:3-21). The most important duty of the high priest was to conduct the service on the day of atonement, every year. The high priest alone was allowed to enter into the most holy place inside the veil to stand before God. After making the sacrifice for himself and for the people, the high priest then brought the blood into the holy of holies and sprinkled it on the mercy seat of God's throne (Leviticus 16:14-15).

But Jesus Christ our Lord being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood, entered into the holy presence of God and obtained eternal redemption for us. Unlike Aaron, who had to repeat the ritual year after year on the day of atonement, Jesus, our great High Priest by His One Sacrifice of Himself entered into the presence of God. The Lord Jesus as a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God is all sufficient to intercede on behalf of the people.

Unlike Aaronic priesthood, Lord Jesus' priesthood is unique in that He is the eternal Word, who became man, tasted death for the salvation of everyone who calls upon Him and serves as our high priest (Hebrews 2:9). Jesus is greater than any Old Testament priests and qualifies to be called “the great high priest” for numerous reasons. He is God manifested in the flesh, and by His one offering of Himself, He has perfected forever them that are sanctified (Hebrews 10:14); His priesthood is eternal (Hebrews 7:24); His sacrifice is “once for all sacrifice” and does not require to be repeated; He is a merciful and compassionate high priest; His offering was perfect and accepted of God, granting access to the sinner to enter into God's holy presence; Jesus not only fulfils the type of the Old Testament high priests but surpasses it in its scope and in His perpetuity of office.

Dear reader, if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead, and confess your sins to Him, you will be saved. Behold! Now is the accepted time, now is the time of your salvation.

JESUS, THE "ONCE FOR ALL" PERFECT SACRIFICE

It was the preparation for the Jewish Passover. The chief priests and the elders of the people conceived a plan to put Jesus to death with subtlety. They led Him handcuffed before Pilate, the Roman governor to extract death sentence against Him on false charges. Pilate examined the Lord Jesus Christ and found Him innocent and declared that he found no fault in Him. Pilate said to the Jewish mob, “Behold your King!” But they cried out, "away with Him, Away with Him, crucify Him". Pilate asked them, “Shall I crucify your King?” They replied, “We have no king but Caesar”. Then Pilate delivered Jesus unto them to be crucified.

The soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on Jesus' head and a reed in His right hand: and they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him saying, 'Hail, King of the Jews!' They spat upon Him and smote Him on His head with the reed and mocked Him. Jesus was subjected to humiliation and torture (Matthew 26:67, 27:26, 28, 29; Mark 14:65). At the command of Pilate, Jesus was flogged even though He was faultless. Jesus was profusely bleeding by the flogging and torture, and His visage was marred beyond recognition.

The extraordinary drama reached its climax at the outskirts of Jerusalem, the royal city of the kings of Israel. The city had witnessed the glorious reign of King Solomon. The Jerusalem temple which stood with its grandeur bore witness to the varieties of work the Lord Jesus Christ had performed. He taught the people there, healed the blind and the lame there, and did many wonderful works there (Matthew 21:14). Jesus rode on a donkey just a few days ago into the city, when the people sang hosannas to Him (Matthew 21:9) saying, “Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord: Blessed is the Kingdom of our father David, that comes in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the Highest”. However, a little later, the mob disowned their King and derided Him, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him”.

There the most tragic, yet the most glorious act was performed; the Son of God offered Himself on the cross, thus meeting the righteous demand of the Most Holy God. In the Old Testament times, animal sacrifices were offered, which could not take away sins and was required to be repeated again and again (Hebrews 10:1- 4). The animal sacrifices pointed to the “once for all” Sacrifice offered by the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross (John 1:29). Unlike the animal sacrifices, Jesus being perfect, holy, faultless and sinless, was able to offer Himself as a perfect and eternal atonement for the sins of the entire human race.

The death of Christ was vicarious in nature - Jesus died as our substitute! The Lord Jesus Christ took upon Himself the punishment that you and I and everyone else deserved because of sin (Isaiah 53:5-6), and through His death and resurrection, the Lord reconciled humanity to God (Romans 5:8-11). Because your sins and my sins and everyone else's sins are transferred upon Him, the punishment fell upon Him as a logical consequence. God spared not His Son but delivered Him up for us all (Romans 8:32). Jesus silently suffered, bled, and died as our substitute to save us from the jaws of eternal hellfire (Isaiah 53:7; Mark 15:5).

Dear reader, do you believe that the Lord Jesus offered Himself on the cross as your substitute? If so, confess your sins to Him and experience the joy of salvation right now here!

AMAZING GRACE! THAT SAVED A WRETCH LIKE ME

The writer has beautifully captured the fact that: “There were no accidents in the life of the Lord Jesus-only appointments. It was not accidental that the Lord Jesus was between these two thieves because the Father was working out His gracious providential plan.”

Lord, remember me when Thou comest into Thy kingdom”. Words wet with remorse and sorrow trickled down from the bleeding mouth of one of the two dying thieves. They were criminals crucified on the cross at Golgotha as punishment for committing crime under the Roman law. The hillock of Golgotha stood outside the walled City of Jerusalem; where the deadly punishment of death by crucifixion* was conferred to the worst criminals as a deterrent punishment. In between the crosses of those two thieves stood one cross, on which was crucified the One, who knew no sin, did no sin and in Him was no sin, and yet He was numbered with the criminals.

A large crowd gathered at Golgotha that morning, which included the chief priests, the teachers of the Law and the elders. Those who passed by that way also came and joined the mob. Their entire attention was focused singularly upon the One who was crucified on   the cross at the centre, although He did not commit any crime. On the contrary, He did only good things to the people. He healed all manner of sicknesses and diseases among the people. He healed the lepers, the demon possessed were set free, the blind were restored to sight, the palsied healed, an epileptic boy healed, the dead were raised alive. His compassion for the people knew no bounds. He was merciful to those who cried for mercy. He forgave and continues to forgive the sins of the people.

The sun hesitated to send his beams down upon the earth as the atmosphere was surcharged with hatred and bitterness against the One, who hung on the cursed tree, between those two thieves, and the air became heavy with the stench of death. The vultures hovered above their heads seeking to devour their prey.

It was none but Christ Jesus, the Prince of life. After crucifying Him, and after parting His garments by casting lots, the Roman soldiers sat down and sipped wine, as their manner was, and watched the Suffering Servant of Jehovah, entertaining themselves at the suffering of the King of glory. 'You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross if you are the Son of God!' said the passers-by, wagging their heads.

'He saved others, but He cannot save Himself! He is the King of the Jews! Let Him come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him' mocked the chief priests, the teachers of the Law and the elders.

The thieves were not far behind in sneering and jeering at the Lord.

From every mouth flew insults, scorn and mockery. Their hatred of the Lord Jesus, the prince of Glory was visibly manifest in its worst form.

As the grace of God had its work upon the children of men, one of the thieves stopped jeering at the Lord any more. But the other continued his outburst, 'if Thou be the Christ, save Thyself and us'. He did not come to save Himself, but to lay down His life as a ransom for the sin of everyman born upon this earth.

'Don't you have the fear of God, seeing that you are also in the same condemnation?' The other dying thief cautioned his comrade. He continued in the same breath, 'you and I are punished justly: for we receive the due reward for our criminal deeds, we deserve to die like this for our crime, but this Man, has done nothing amiss!'

The message of the cross preached by the penitent dying thief to his dying comrade on the cross! But there was brazen silence.

This dying penitent thief then slowly turned his eyes towards the Saviour. He singled out himself and pleaded trembling, 'Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom'. When everyone else hated Him, condemned Him, accused Him, jeered at Him, wagged their heads at Him; and yet although he was all alone, he trusted in the Saviour and pleaded for mercy.

The Lord Jesus while upon the cross was bleeding profusely all over. The crown made of sharp thorns, placed on His head tore his brow, from which blood oozed down. His body had long furrows like a man's ploughed field and the huge amount of blood that came there-from covered his being giving the spectacle of a garment dyed in crimson red. Our Lord's visage was marred than any man. He had no form or comeliness and there was no beauty that anyone would desire Him. Nothing but coarse mockery and crude insults rained on Him from every mouth.

The penitent thief, who had the rare privilege of being nearer to the cross of the Saviour, could see the grace, the gentleness, the love, the meekness and the holiness of the Saviour in display in full grandeur. There had been no bitterness on the face of the Lord to those who unjustly tried Him, unjustly flogged Him, buffeted Him, spat upon Him, crowned Him with a thorny crown, and scoffed at Him and humiliated Him. The Lord moved with compassion at their ignorance and asked the Father for their forgiveness. The penitent thief saw those extraordinary virtues of the Saviour.

The grace of God working in his heart brought to remembrance, the coming of the kingdom of God and the following judgment that is reserved for sinners like him. The penitent thief saw in Jesus his Saviour and Lord that, 'This man hath done nothing amiss'. He was the holy Son of God. He believed in the deity of Jesus, by calling Him Lord (Romans 10:13), when the multitude called him, “scoffer”. He said “Lord, remember me, when Thou cometh in Thy kingdom!” It was a prayer which embraced in its fold, the Kingship of Christ and His everlasting kingdom, and his earnest desire to enter into that Kingdom. Amazing grace!

'Today, thou shalt be with Me in paradise' said the Saviour. The repentant thief marvelled at the authority with which the Lord Jesus spoke amidst His sufferings and agony upon the cross. Words of profound comfort! Words of eternal joy! It brought cheer to his soul. The malefactor felt that he had come to possess a priceless treasure, though it was at the end of his little life. The certainty preceded the assurance of it, 'verily I say unto thee'....and the imminence of this promise, 'today shalt thou be with Me...' O! what a Saviour!

The penitent thief drowned in exhilarating joy. Unspeakable joy and peace that transcends human understanding enveloped his soul. The Lord had forgiven his sins. As he was musing in his heart about the joy of the assurance of salvation, he saw black dark clouds gathering in the sky, the sun began to darken and darkness covered the entire earth.

'My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me', the loud cry of the Saviour reverberated through the hills and valleys of Palestine. The storm of God's wrath raged upon His Son. The Father turned His face away from the Son. But the Son 'finished' the arduous task entrusted to Him, at the appointed time. The Almighty God, the Father was fully satisfied. As if to relay the delight of the Father, the sun burst through the dark clouds and shined brightly over all the earth.

The thief adored His Saviour. The violent strokes of the club that fell upon his legs could not deter him from worshipping his Saviour, Lord and Master. Moments passed. As the soul of the penitent thief passed into Paradise, the city which has foundations of exquisite precious stones of diverse kinds, with gates of elegant pearls and its streets made of pure gold, which dazzles like transparent glass, outshined by the very presence of the Sovereign God where there is no more sorrow and no more weeping, the soul of the impenitent thief passed into the blackness of the darkness of hell, to the company of Satan, the old serpent and the deceiver of souls and the multitude of the fallen angels, where there is weeping and wailing for the timeless ages of eternity.

*Death by Crucifixion:- Death by crucifixion is the most barbaric and heinous, as it is gradual death by hanging on three sharp nails supported by raw flesh, running into several days. It used to be quite a long-drawn-out, process rarely ending before thirty six hours. The pain was intense and excruciating, as the whole body was strained, while the hands and feet, which are just a mass of nerves and tendons, would keep losing blood. The arteries of the head and stomach would be surcharged with blood, causing aching headache, traumatic fever and tetanus would set in caused by sharp nails with which the victim's palms and feet are nailed to the cross with brute force. The legs of the victim are shattered with club, if for any reason the crucifiers intended to hasten the death of the victim.

THE FLOOD AND THE RAINBOW

The recent torrential rains that severely hit various states of North India left several people dead and missing. These rains submerged hundreds of villages, affecting road and railway traffic, leaving many people marooned.

Several centuries ago, the earth was ravaged by a phenomenal flood. When the earth was filled with ungodliness and wickedness, God decided to destroy man by a natural cause, flood and to make a new beginning. But there was one man named Noah, who remained blameless. He warned the people around him about the coming judgement, but they would not listen. He built a huge Ark as directed by God, where he and his family will remain safe through the disaster. God caused rain to fall on the earth forty days and forty nights. On that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth and flood gates of heaven were opened.

On that very day Noah and his wife, his three sons and their wives entered the Ark. They had with them in the Ark pairs of all creatures that had breath of life in them. As the waters increased, the Ark was lifted above the earth. The waters greatly increased and covered the high mountains and the Ark floated on the surface of the water. In the flood, every living thing that moved on the earth perished – birds, livestock, wild animals, every living creature on dry land and all mankind. God preserved only Noah and his family and the animals that entered the Ark.

When Noah came forth from the Ark, God made a covenant with Noah that the waters shall no more become a flood of such magnitude to destroy all flesh. God set a rainbow in the clouds as a covenant sign of the promise of God, proclaiming peace between God and man.

The Rainbow intimates us about God’s covenant of love and mercy and the mediatory work of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the sun of righteousness, who is described with a rainbow above His throne (Rev 4: 3) and a rainbow upon His head (Rev10: 1). Though God will not drown the world again, in the end, the world will be consumed by fire. All those who refuse to trust in the mediatory work of the Saviour, Lord Jesus Christ and live an unrepentant life will be destined to spend their eternity in the unquenchable hell fire. There shall be only weeping and wailing all through eternity, being shunned from the presence of God. But all those repentant sinners who put their trust in the Saviour shall spend their eternity in inexplicable joy in the glorious presence of God.

Dear Reader, do you have the hope of spending your eternity in the glorious presence of God? If not so, trust in the Lord Jesus Christ right now & receive forgiveness of your sins.

JESUS, SEED OF THE WOMAN AND HIS REDEMPTIVE WORK ON THE CROSS

The birth of JESUS, the Promised “Seed of the Woman”. The prophesies that culminated in this glorious historical event draw us back to the dawn of human history. Beguiled by Satan, Adam, the first man created by God fell into sin in the Garden of Eden, which brought eternal death upon all humanity. God immediately summoned Satan and said, “I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her Seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel”. Centuries passed by one after another, and the promise seemed impossible for fulfilment. However, the promise of God came to be fulfilled precisely when the fullness of time was come.

At the appointed time angel Gabriel visited Mary, a pious young virgin, hailing from Nazareth, and announced, “Behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS”. This virgin was betrothed to Joseph. In a supernatural dream, an angel visited Joseph and told him that “that which is conceived in Mary's womb is of the Holy Spirit. She shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins”.

It was thus when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son Jesus, made of a woman, made under the law to redeem them that are under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. The expressions, “seed of the woman” and “made of a woman” are impressively significant. These unusual expressions unequivocally indicate that the woman's offspring would not have an earthly father and that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit. The Seed of the Woman has crushed the power of Satan, triumphed over death and all those who believe in Him shall escape eternal death.

God revealed to His people, how they should live, but none could live up to God's perfect standard, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But God declares a sinner righteous by imputing His righteousness based on Jesus' atoning work on the cross. Jesus died on the cross to redeem the sinner - which means to buy the sinner from the slave market of sin (Galatians 3:13). Christ's supreme sacrifice was the final payment for the sins of the fallen human race. This payment was made by Jesus by His death on the cross and thereby met the righteous demands of a Holy God. Those who trust in Jesus' redemptive work on the cross shall become God's sons and escape from the coming judgment. Although there is only One Son Jesus in God's family, God graciously adopts as His sons all who believe in His Son Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

The coming of Lord Jesus opened a new era, the era of liberation, the era of freedom, the era of salvation and redemption! Because …” by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in the sight of God: for by the law is the knowledge of sin” (Romans 3:20). Whosoever shall keep the whole law, but offend in one point, he is guilty of all (James 2:10). But now the righteousness of God is manifested…even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe … (Romans 3:21-22).

Dear reader, are you saved? If not, confess your sins and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved!

THE CRIES BELOW AND THE THRILLS ABOVE

An eighty one year old man was piloting his private aircraft recently in Europe. All of a sudden, he suffered a major heart attack in mid air. He called his wife to the cockpit to pilot the aircraft to safety before he fell unconscious. The 80-year-old woman with little flying experience landed the aircraft safely at the airport and averted a tragedy.

Imagine the situation if his wife had not been there! What would happen if pilots disappear from aircrafts in mid-air, motor men disappear from speeding trains, drivers disappearing from speeding vehicles, the condition of patients when doctors disappear in the midst of critical surgeries!! There will be air crashes, traffic jams, accidents, destruction and deaths almost everywhere.

This is what is going to happen on the earth when the Lord Jesus Christ comes in the mid-air to snatch away the church – people who have received forgiveness of their sins – with the accompaniment of the splendour of the trumpet of God and the singing of the angelic host. A glorious sight and exhilarating experience surpassing human imagination awaits every child of God, born again Christians!

For this reason, the Lord instructed His disciples to be ready, always prepared, and be on guard for He will come at any time. This event will follow a dreadful time of suffering for the unbelieving and the unrepentant who will be left behind on the earth after the church is removed.

Jesus Christ came into the world two thousand years ago to deliver man from the bondage of sin. He offered Himself on the cross on our behalf to deliver us from God’s judgement. He became a sin offering for us and we who trust in Him receive justification through His blessed name. All those who receive Him and His message of salvation will receive eternal life, and all those who reject Christ and His gospel will receive eternal punishment in hell. For this reason He commands men everywhere to repent of their sin and trust in Jesus Christ, the Saviour.

Dear reader, do you have the assurance that you will meet the Lord in the mid year when He comes to take away His people? If not, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and escape from the coming doom and be the recipient of everlasting blessings!

PESTILENCES IN THE NEWS AND GLOBAL PESTILENCES TO COME..

Dear Readers, if you recollect, it was somewhere in November – December 2019 that we began to hear about the Covid-19 pandemic that was sweeping all over China. In a matter of a few weeks & months it had already reached USA, Europe, Africa, Asia, etc. And by April 2020, the whole world was in lockdown mode. The pandemic had rapidly spread across the whole world impacting every human on earth in some bitter way or the other, irrespective of caste, creed, color, gender, religion, etc. Many millions perished in every country in the planet, so much so that even the local government authorities couldn’t keep an exact track of the actual number of deaths.

The aftermath of the pandemic left utter destruction and ruin in the lives of countless millions globally & it has indeed left an inerasable mark on each and every of one of us. The Covid19 vaccines that were injected into human bodies are equally very destructive killing many even today as I am writing this article. And I personally lost many of my dear friends in the pandemic, which is even today very distressing & heartbreaking. I am sure that many of you who are reading this have to say the same.

Even today, there are multiple mutating variants of Covid-19 circulating unnoticed among us, as is the case with multiple other pestilences which is on the rise. But the actual reason for me writing today’s article is just to clarify that far more severe pestilences are on the horizon which would devastate humanity beyond anyone’s imagination. Now, the current pestilence in the news is Bird Flu that is very literally sweeping across the US & has got the potential to even turn into a global pandemic. Given below is a list of at least 3 headlines sparking fears of a bird flu pandemic that has a mortality rate of more than 50%.

·         The spread of bird flu virus on US dairy farms alarms WHO

·         What to know about the latest bird flu outbreak in the US

·         Could Avian Influenza Be The Next Covid-19?

Suppose this was to soon become a global pandemic, the death and devastation it would leave on this entire world would be unimaginable. The global healthcare system would instantly collapse. Can you imagine a mortality rate of more than 50%. The Covid-19 pandemic had a death rate of just 1.5%. Just imagine today we are living with much more compromised & weaker immunity systems because of the previous Covid19 pandemic and the very harmful vaccinations.

What would happen if Bird Flu spread globally? It would very surely lead to a global catastrophe. Corporations would shut down. The entire world would be locked down. The global healthcare system would instantly collapse. Consequently, the world economy would also collapse.

Now, over the last decade there has been an increase in bird flu cases among mammals. Since 2020, this virus has been spreading among more animal species. In the US, this version of the bird flu has been detected in wild birds in every state, as well as commercial poultry operations and backyard flocks. Nationwide, tens of millions of chickens have died from the virus or been killed to stop outbreaks from spreading.

The highly pathogenic avian flu subtype H5N1 which was first identified in Southern China in 1996, resulted in 850 human infections, with a mortality rate of more than 50%. Similarly in 1997, large HPAI H5N1 virus outbreaks were detected in poultry in Hong Kong, and zoonotic (animal to human) transmission led to 18 human infections with at least 6 deaths. ‘Zoonotic diseases’ also termed as ‘spillover diseases’ means diseases that come from animals to humans.

About 70% of new diseases developing around us in this world can be categorized as ‘Zoonotic diseases’. Also medical research affirms that 61% of the 1,415 pathogens known to infect humans originate with animals. Some of these diseases are familiar to us like HIV, bird flu, Ebola, dengue fever, Asian flu, yellow fever, West Nile fever and more recently the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Robert Redfield, the former Director for the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) under the Trump Administration, recently disclosed in an interview for the third time publicly that he believes bird flu will be seen as the “great pandemic,” attributing it to a lab-leak from gain-of-function escape from a laboratory.

Redfield said, “Right now, it takes five amino acid changes for it to be effectively infecting humans. That’s a pretty heavy species barrier – but this virus is already in 26 mammal species, as you most recently saw cattle. But in the laboratory, I could make it highly infectious for humans in just a few months.”

Previously in an interview with Winepress in 2022, he had mentioned that the Covid19 pandemic was not the great pandemic but just a minor wake up call. Redfield then said, Yeah I think we have to recognize – I’ve always said that I think the Covid19 pandemic was a wakeup call. I don’t believe it’s the great pandemic. I believe the great pandemic is still in the future, and that’s going to be a bird flu pandemic for man. It’s gonna have significant mortality in the 10-50% range. It’s gonna be serious trouble. And we should get great prepared for it. I do believe the pandemic risk is a greater risk of the national security of the United States more than North Korea, China, Russia, Iran; and we ought to start investing proportional to that national security risk so that we’re prepared.”

Also in an interview with the Hill in 2023, he had mentioned, “I do believe the next pandemic, and we’re going to have another pandemic and I think it’s going to be the great pandemic. I consider Covid19 a minor pandemic, the great pandemic’s going to come. And normally, it would come from spillover – bird flu that learns how to transmit to humans and then go to human-to-human. But I think the species barriers are very real. But it’s much more probable that it will happen because of gain-of-function research in a laboratory and then escape and then we’re going to have a pandemic… which will be much more brutal to the world than Covid was.”

Now here’s another recent headline in the News, “The US Food and Drug Administration has identified genetic traces of the virus in one in five commercial milk samples tested.” The fact that it’s in one of five commercial milk samples tested is an startling statistic, showing how widespread this virus is in cows.

Now, all this that I had written till now is just everyday news. No one for sure knows what would be next great Pandemic, whether it would be a Bird Flu pandemic or a Covid19 variant pandemic or some other pandemic with a different name. But one thing is for sure, there are multiple global pestilences that are on the horizon which would make Covid19 look like just a very minor disruptive force of the past. In order to find out how lethal these pestilences would be, let’s refer to the Holy Bible which very clearly describes end time global pestilences & it’s very severe consequences. Matthew Chapter 24: Verse 7 says, “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, AND PESTILENCES, and earthquakes, in diverse places.”

Above mentioned are the words of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. And the word pestilences is in the plural form, which means in our times and in the near future, there would be Multiple Pestilences and its variants and sub-variants which are going to devastate humanity. In the initial paragraphs in this article, I somehow managed to describe how devastating Covid19 & Vaccination was to the whole world. But I really don’t know how better to describe the coming far more deadlier pestilences that are going to befall this unsuspecting human race.

The Holy Bible mentions yet in another portion in the book of Revelation, in the 6th Chapter, and verses 7 & 8, And when He had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death [plagues], and with the beasts of the earth.”

What is described in this verse befalls humanity in the 1st phase or the 1st half of the 7-year Tribulation period. For those of you who don’t know, the Holy Bible speaks of a 7-Year Tribulation that would befall humanity in the very near future. And this tribulation period is divided into 2 phases or 2 halves, each of 3&1/2 years. The first phase is called “The Tribulation” & the 2nd phase is called the “the Great Tribulation”.

Now, think about it, the verse says that one fourth of the earth is killed by just one judgement in the very 1st phase of the tribulation period. How much does that account for numerically. Just imagine that if suppose the global population at the time of this soon coming event is around 800 crores, one fourth, i.e. 200 crores perish in this single one judgement. And this one judgement is by sword (war), famine, plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Now, that statement, “wild beasts of the earth,” is taken by some to mean that animals will become ferocious and kill people. Others believe these are world rulers in the end times. The Antichrist is called “the beast,” in the Holy Bible and it’s the same word that is used here. However, since it occurs right after plagues, it could also refer to “spillover diseases” that come from animals to humans.

Modern travel and commerce have made the spread of these viruses much more easy & deadly. Covid19 went quickly from China to Europe and around the world in an astonishingly short time. Covid19 was the first major pandemic in recent decades, but more of these are sure to come, and we’re constantly being warned about them. Plagues and pestilence create deep fear because they’re silent, invisible killers; we can’t see them. We can also be sure that the slightest threat of a new pandemic will be seized upon by global elites to gain greater global control over entire humanity.

We saw a dress rehearsal with COVID, which almost served as a warm-up or a wake-up call. We saw demands for vaccinations, track and trace technology, and global passports with all kinds of conditions put on them for international travel. Each pandemic will bring greater control from global groups like the World Health Organization (WHO). What we see today are harbingers of greater plagues to come in the future. What the Lord Jesus Christ Himself talked about in Luke 21 and what the apostle John wrote about in Revelation 6 are looming just over the horizon. This is another sign for us that the coming of Lord Jesus Christ to take away His Church is drawing near and the end times stage is being set.

After the Lord Jesus Christ takes away His church via the very secret rapture, this entire sea of humanity would be literally thrown into the 7-year tribulation the likes of which the world has never seen. And this 7-year tribulation period is all set to very soon dawn upon this very unsuspecting world, just in this very decade ahead of us. The Bible terms this period also as the Period of Divine Judgement. There are many other innumerable signs and shadows all around us converging at the same time, of this soon coming tribulation period. Only those who have believed in the LORD JESUS CHRIST as their Lord & Saviour will escape.

Remember, the LORD JESUS CHRIST is the only one person who truly loves mankind, because HE is the very Creator of mankind. And by virtue of HIS human birth, death, burial & resurrection 2000 years ago for the sins of mankind, HE alone qualifies to be the Savior of mankind as well. HE alone can forgive us of our sins and give us everlasting life. So, it would be wise to put one’s trust in this CREATOR AND SAVIOR OF MANKIND - THE LORD JESUS CHRIST before it's too late and time runs out. In our next post, we will see more signs foreshadowing the SOON COMING TRIBULATION PERIOD OF 7 YEARS.
