THE 7 YEAR TRIBULATION IS AT HUMANITY’S DOORSTEP…& THE TIME TO ESCAPE IS VERY SHORT..

All of us sense and know to a certain extent that we are living in really bad times. There is a lot of anxiety in the air. There are economic crises, poverty, job crises, wars, civil unrest, mental illnesses, pandemic, natural calamities, lawlessness, etc. to name just a few. Humanity is slowly realizing that the days ahead would surely bring in more trouble & more devastation. Indeed, there is a lot of uncertainty ahead. Uncertainty brings in anxiety, depression and finally burnout.

It was already prophesied in the Holy Bible 2 thousand years ago, how horrific the end times would be. The Holy Bible in Luke chapter 21: v25 & v26 says25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon,    in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

These verses clearly describe how terrible the end times would be. The daily news we read and listen to these days, are indeed indigestible & heart wrenching. The Russia Ukraine war itself resulted in the deaths of 5 lakh people & still counting. The Israel Gaza War has already resulted in the deaths of many thousands & still counting. We have thousands perishing daily in Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Africa, Europe, etc. due to wars & civil unrest.

We have poverty also spreading rampantly across the globe. A study finds that poverty was the 4th leading cause of death in the United States in 2019, due to which 1,83,000 perished. Another report mentions that, globally 25,000 people die every single day only due to hunger. Yes, we have people perishing daily just due to lack of basic amenities like food, clothing & shelter. There are also millions world over who are suffering from multiple kinds of severe mental illnesses & anxiety disorders, & this is only getting progressively worse each passing day. Very sadly, the bible mentions this is how it would be in the end times.

We also have tens of thousands perishing almost daily due to natural calamities, suicide, drug abuse, pandemic, etc. The year 2023 saw an uptick in natural disasters globally, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands. In the year 2020, in India alone, over 10,600 people died by suicide, because they were unemployed, poor or due to bankruptcy and indebtedness. In the current year 2023, globally we have seen that lakhs of people have lost their jobs, thus throwing their lives into utter chaos and uncertainty.

We are also seeing, as national governments world over are being headed by more & more despotic rulers, people are beginning to lose even basic rights like freedom to vote, freedom of speech and even freedom to survive. We are also seeing that there are frightening technological advancements in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, etc., with a tyrannical intent to enslave all mankind. So, as mentioned in the bible, today our world is in absolute distress & perplexity to the extent that people have begun to feel threatened about their very existence. Yes, indeed men’s hearts are beginning to fail them for fear, when they are looking at the terrible things that are beginning to occur everywhere in the globe.

Humanity is beginning to get clueless as to how we would survive even one more day. Even listening to the daily news is very disturbing for all of us. Yes, indeed there is a lot of uncertainty & anxiety in the air. Now, the question is where is all this heading for?

The Bible mentions that there is soon coming a time of tribulation, the likes of which the world has never seen. The Holy Bible in Mathew chapter 24: v21 says, 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. So, all this sudden explosion of terrible things that we are beginning to see all around us would not abate, but would increase exponentially in the year 2024 & beyond, leading right to the bible prophesied HORRIFIC 7 YEAR TRIBULATION PERIOD. Every man, woman & child would be affected very severely.

The Bible mentions that the only way out of this, is to confess one’s sins & believe in the LORD JESUS CHRIST & be saved. The Holy Bible in Romans chapter 10: 9 & 10 says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So, dear Reader, the bible prophesied HORRIFIC 7 YEAR TRIBULATION PERIOD is about to hit the entire humanity very very soon. And this dreadful period could start in the next few years ahead of us. So, those who have not confessed their sins & believed in the LORD JESUS CHRIST would be left behind & they would have to undergo the horrors of the tribulation period where the suffering & pain would be unimaginable. But those who confess their sins & believe in the LORD JESUS CHRIST would surely escape this deadly tribulation via the Rapture.

To understand more on this, please refer to this link https://bibleprophecyinaction.blogspot.com/2022/02/. Also, please check my previous articles in the archive from Feb 2022 – Oct 2022 on the top right hand side of this page. I have elaborated on the important signs pointing out that the HORRIFIC 7 YEAR TRIBULATION PERIOD is near, even at the door & why believing in the LORD JESUS CHRIST is the only way to escape the HORRIFIC 7 YEAR TRIBULATION PERIOD that is very soon upon us. The Holy Bible in 2 Corinthians chapter 6: v2 says, 2behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. So, it’s very important for one to confess one’s sins & believe in the LORD JESUS CHRIST & be saved because, indeed THE 7 YEAR TRIBULATION IS AT HUMANITY’S DOORSTEP…& THE TIME TO ESCAPE IS VERY SHORT..

THE MYSTERIOUS THREE HOURS OF DARKNESS

It was an extraordinary day in the history of mankind! Jesus, the Light of the world was crucified. Never ever in the history of the world lived any man as holy and sinless as this Man Jesus was. None could ever find any fault in Him. The judge who examined Him testified repeatedly that he found no fault in Him. The heavenly Father attested repeatedly that He is well pleased with His beloved Son, Jesus. Yet, He was subjected to unlawful trials, humiliation, scourging, and finally to crucifixion, the most heinous punishment.

The most awe-inspiring events that followed His crucifixion were that nature changed its course as from the sixth hour to the ninth hour, there was mysterious darkness over all the land (Matthew 27:45), the veil of the Temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent, and so on. As the sun withdrew his light, impenetrable darkness set in on the entire land for three hours because the event on the cross was “too holy” for the sinful human eyes to behold, for “in the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the LORD: It is Most Holy” (Leviticus 6:25). And it was during those three dreadful hours that the Lord Jesus, the sinless beloved Son of God, being made sin for you and for me and for everyone else, was drinking the cup of God's wrath.

As Jesus hung on the cross bearing the sin and guilt of the entire human race, which includes you and I, the Father hid His face from the Son. Jesus experienced on the cross the dark clouds of the fierce judgment of God, because “…God hath made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Sorrow filled the heart of the Most Holy Son of God, and He cried with the agony of His soul, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?”. This question has puzzled many, but Jesus Himself answered His question, “For Thou art Holy” (Psalm 22:3). Jesus was made accountable for our sins, yours and mine. God vindicated His holiness and laid bare the sinfulness of our sins.

Jesus patiently endured the wrath of the righteous God the Father on the cross to save the entire humanity from the jaws of eternal death. The sufferings did not deter the Redeemer from completing the task entrusted to Him by His Father. The melancholy cry gave way to the cry of jubilation, “It is finished” (John 19:30). And He commended His Spirit into the hands of His Father (Luke 23:46). He was buried, but rose again on the third day as foretold by Him. Then He ascended to heaven and is seated on the right hand of His Majesty on High. He promised to come back again to take unto Himself those who shall receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Dear reader, if you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and confess your sins to Him, you shall receive the forgiveness of your sins and will escape the coming judgment. But the fierce judgment of God will be the portion of all those who reject the means of salvation now offered to them…the torment hellfire, by their own choice. Dear reader, do you have the assurance that you will escape the coming judgment? If not, Behold! Now is the acceptable time!

THE TREASURE HUNT

The Archaeological Survey of India recently began digging in the 19th century Buxar fort in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh, hoping to unearth thousands of tons of gold treasure. After two days of excavation, no gold treasure was discovered, but a brick wall, shards of glass bangles, hopscotch toys and a mud floor was discovered.

The Holy Bible speaks about a sure treasure hid in a field; when a man found it, he hid it, and then in his joy went and sold all that he owned and bought that field. This treasure was so precious to him, that he sold all his possessions to own that treasure. This treasure, as it might seem strange to our readers, is none but the invisible God Himself, by whom were all things created, visible and invisible and He is before all things and in Him dwells all fullness. In Christ Jesus are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge; of grace and peace and righteousness, which are laid up in Christ, and if you and I lay hold on Him, all these shall be yours and mine.

John the Baptist said of the Lord Jesus that of His fullness have all we received, grace for grace. The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Grace is the kindness and love of God our Saviour towards man, not by man’s works of righteousness. The Law of Moses demands righteousness from man, but under grace, God by his redemptive work confers righteousness on man. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, which is by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

You have to set your eyes and affection on the Lord Jesus Christ, for He is the treasure whom the gospel bids us to possess. He tasted death to confer eternal life for every man. Lord Jesus Christ took our place on the wretched cross and offered his soul an offering for sin; your sin and my sin. Jesus was buried, but rose again on the third day and ascended to heaven. He will come any day and moment!

Dear reader, confess your sins, trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and come into possession of this great treasure.

A CASE FOR CHRIST

A Kenyan lawyer filed a suit in the Nairobi High Court against the illegal trial and execution of Jesus of Nazareth citing the human rights violation, premature judgement, and cruel torture. However the court refused to entertain this case after which the lawyer appealed to the International court of Justice in the Netherlands.

True, the Lord Jesus Christ was unjustly tried and condemned to death. False witnesses rose against Him and heaped false accusations upon Him, but none could establish any evidence against Him. After thorough examination, Pilate, the Roman Governer declared that he found no fault in Jesus. But in spite of the impeccable life of the Lord Jesus Christ, the vulgar mob clamoured for His blood. Though Pilate was convinced that Jesus was innocent, yet he condemned Him to death to please the blood thirsty mob. The Lord Jesus Christ was subjected to humiliation and cruel torture. The same crowd that joyfully sang Hosannas to their King (Jesus) rejected Him a little later and led Him outside the city walls and thus He “suffered without the gate”.

But truly it was God who was pleased to bruise Him, torment Him and put Him to grief. The Father has not only allowed men to bruise Him but awakened His own sword against His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. It was none but the Father who placed the bitter cup in the hands of His beloved Son. Jesus was smitten of God, bruised of God and crushed of God although the Blessed Son had done no violence nor was any deceit found in His mouth.

Why did God the Father do so? It was because God made His Son a sin and a curse for us. It was because the Father has laid upon Jesus the iniquity of us all, the wickedness of us all, the immorality of us all, the unrighteousness of us all; that is your sins and my sins were laid upon Him and He was punished.

Prophet Isaiah aptly says, “…He (Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.” Dear reader, what do the wounds of the Lord Jesus Christ mean to you? What do the bruises of the Lord Jesus mean to you? And what do the stripes of the Lord Jesus mean to you? Here is a solemn opportunity to save your soul from eternal hell fire by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ!

CONVERSION OF A PERSECUTER OF CHRIST

Sometime between 31-36 AD. It was an extraordinary mid-day in the life of a young man, a sworn enemy and persecutor of Christ and the infant Christian Church called “The Way”. This young man was on his way to Damascus with his companions for arresting the Christians and committing them to prison. He had the authority of the Chief Priests for the purpose. This young man was none but Saul of Tarsus, a Pharisee, well versed in the Hebrew Old Testament sacred Scriptures. But he made havoc on the infant Church, entering into every house and haling men and women committing them to prison.

As Saul and his men were about to reach the city of Damascus, all of a sudden behold, a bright light from heaven, brighter than the sun surrounded Saul. Immediately, he fell to the ground and heard a voice, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” Saul was overtaken by helplessness and panic and said, “Who are you, Lord?” Saul instantly received the reply, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the pricks”. In that breathtaking moment, Saul saw the risen Saviour, and something extraordinary happened in his heart. The result was amazing! Saul surrendered his heart to the Lord Jesus Christ and followed His instructions.

The risen Saviour said to Saul, “I have appeared to you, for this reason, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you… to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me (Acts 26:12-18), that by the work of the Spirit, the eyes of the understanding of those who are blinded by Satan are enlightened; through the preaching of the Gospel.

Saul's encounter with Jesus Christ transformed his life altogether. He received forgiveness of his sins and experienced the joy of salvation by trusting in the expiative work of Christ on the cross. Saul was no longer a persecutor of the Church. He became a transformed man of God, known as Apostle Paul, the greatest missionary ever known in the history of the Church. He was chosen by God for turning many from darkness to light and to deliver them that are under the power and control of Satan. God used the transformed Paul for delivering millions of souls from the stronghold of Satan and leading them to Christ. Besides, out of twenty-seven books of the New Testament, thirteen came to be written by Apostle Paul alone, which stands as an eloquent testimony to the transforming power of God.

Dear reader, God is willing to transform you too if you commit your life to Jesus. God says, “Come now and let us reason together, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. God has permitted a man to reason with Him (Genesis 18:23-32; Exodus 4:1-17; Job 23:3-7; Micah 6:2). The loving God does not desire any to perish in the coming judgment, but all to repent their sins and experience the joy of salvation (2 Peter 3:9).

Dear reader, if you have not yet received the assurance of salvation, repent your sins and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour right now.

I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH & THE LIFE

A vast multitude of people around the globe are led astray by cult leaders and blind guides, who claim to possess extraordinary spiritual knowledge and powers. Such claims have repeatedly proven false, yet there is no dearth of followers. Strange as it may seem, the list of followers is not confined to the illiterate masses, but includes ministers, top ranking officers and high profile personalities!

The fact remains that God does not desire any soul to go astray and perish, but that every soul should experience ‘eternal life’. So God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ into this world to show man the way to God, the Father. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me”.

Christ is the ‘only way’ to reach the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby you must be saved. There is no other way to attain salvation, but by the Lord Jesus Christ only, for He, as the high priest, by His own blood entered in once into the holy place, and obtained eternal redemption for us. The Lord Jesus Christ is ‘the Truth’ being the substance and fulfillment of the types and figures of the Old Testament. He is the ‘only Truth’ as opposed to ‘the falsehood’ we see around.

The Lord Jesus Christ is also ‘the life’. He is the only source and fountain of all life. He is the redeemer of souls from eternal death and giver of everlasting life. However depraved, poor, week and miserable you may feel now, yet by trusting in Him, you can experience the joy of a ‘new life’ now and a ‘glorious life’ in everlasting mansions above, after you leave this world.

The Lord Jesus Christ is not merely one of the ways to salvation, but he is the ‘only way’ for there is no other way. None can imagine reaching heaven except through the Lord Jesus Christ, who died a vicarious death on the cross, for you and for me. He was buried, but rose again on the third day. He ascended to heaven and is seated on the right hand of God, the Father. Jesus will come again soon to take his people unto Himself. If you trust in this risen and living Savior, you shall receive eternal life. Dear reader, are you saved? Do you have the assurance of salvation? If not, confess your sins to Him and receive Jesus, the Christ of God as your Lord and Saviour right now.

THE PARABLE OF THE FATHER’S HEART

There was a wealthy Jew in Palestine who had a great household with olive yards and vineyards, sheep and camels and hired servants. He had two sons, who had all the father's provisions available in that wealthy home. However, the younger son being sick of living with his loving father chose no longer to be under his authority. He brazenly demanded his share of the inheritance and his father refused him not. “He gathered all together” and cutting every tie with his father, took his journey to a “far country”, to a world of sin and mirth, away from God and the eyes of his father. The rebellious act of the young man has characteristics of Isaiah's prophetic portrayal of sinners, “all we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way…” (Isaiah 53:6).

Soon he spent all and became penniless. To make matters worse, a mighty famine ravaged the land and he began to be in want. His dire situation forced him to join the citizen of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed the swine, a great disgrace that could happen to the son of a wealthy Jew. The swine was an unclean animal under the Levitical law (Leviticus 11:8), which kept reminding him that he was a lawbreaker and under the judgement of God. The ration provided to the prodigal was scanty that he longed to fill his stomach with the swine feed, but even that was not available, and none pitied him. Running away from the presence of his loving father has brought him to a most shameful and disgraceful experience of feeding the swine.

We see in this narrative, God's amazing kindness and mercy, for the extreme misery brought the prodigal to his right senses. Earlier he was “beside himself”, but now “came to himself”. Then he said, “how many hired servants of my father's house have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!” He composed a statement of repentance (Luke 15:18, 19). Genuine repentance is not confined to shallow words, but to action. In his extremity, there was genuine repentance in his heart. This is of prime necessity for the salvation of every sinner who walks the road of the prodigal.

The prodigal is under the sentence of death just like the older brother is who holds a pharisaic attitude.   The words “…when he was yet a great way off…” speak eloquently about the father's heart, reminiscing about the Love of God, our Saviour. The waiting and watching and yearning of the father focuses our attention on the incredible bounty and generosity of the father, which is the powerful portrayal of the heart of God, our heavenly Father towards the prodigals, you and I (Genesis 3:8, 9).

The father, casting aside his dignity of a wealthy Jew, having had compassion, unashamedly ran, reached his wayward son, embraced him and kissed him tenderly, which reminds us of the Son of God coming on the earth & suffering humiliation and torture and dying on the cursed cross as a criminal for you and for me, prodigals. The prodigal was arrayed with the best robe, the garment of salvation which our heavenly Father clothes us with (Isaiah 61:10; Revelation 7:14), the ring on his hand, signifies an unending relationship to our heavenly Father and shoes on his feet, as a mark as a free man, privilege to stand in His blessed presence in absolute forgiveness and acceptance. The fatted calf is a prize animal reserved for a feast in honour of a special guest.

In the mind of our heavenly Father, there could not be a joyous occasion than when a lost son is found (Luke 15:7). Dear readers come home to God, our Saviour with a repentant heart and bring joy to the heart of God!

THE QUEST FOR TRUTH & GOD’S AMAZING INTERVENTION

It was the hottest midday in Gaza and the sunburnt in the sky in all his fury. Rarely anyone would venture to travel to Gaza, the desert at that hour of the day. But during that hot midday, a large, richly laden caravan and a stately furnished chariot carrying a great man of authority, who was in charge of all the treasure of the queen of Ethiopia was traveling along the road to Gaza. He had come all the way from Ethiopia to worship the God of the Hebrews at Jerusalem traversing over thousand six hundred miles on road when in the Roman world the average distance that people would travel on road was just twenty miles a day. This speaks volumes about his untiring pursuit in search of truth.

However, his visit to Jerusalem Temple did not make any difference in his life. At the Temple, he found only ceremonies, sacrifices, and rituals; but not eternal life. So, he was heading back to Ethiopia through the desert, which pictures the spiritual thirst of his soul. But he continued to cling to the Word of God.

At that very hour, God said to Philip, one of His servants, "Arise and go toward the south unto the way that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza, which is a desert”. And Philip hasted to Gaza without a moment's hesitation; and behold there was the Ethiopian eunuch, sitting in his stately chariot reading from the prophetic book of Isaiah chapter fifty-three. When Philip drew near, he heard the Ethiopian reading, “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and a Lamb dumb before His shearer, so opened He not His mouth: in His humiliation, His judgment was taken away: and who shall declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth”. The passage gives a graphic presentation of the Messiah's sufferings and His vicarious death on the cross for the salvation of man.

Philip joined him in his chariot at his request, opened his mouth and began at the same Scripture, and preached to him Jesus (Acts 8:35). Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of Isaiah chapter fifty-three. We all have sinned and are heading towards eternal hellfire. Because of our sin, none of us can merit eternal life through our own efforts or good deeds. But the Lord Jesus, to satisfy God's holy justice, out of His love for us, became our substitute and bore the penalty we deserve and died on the cross. Jesus bore God's wrath on the cross and shed His precious blood for the remission of our sins. He rose again from the grave, ascended to heaven, and is seated on the right hand of God. He will soon return to take us unto Himself. The Ethiopian heard the true way of salvation and confessed, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” He thus received the Lord Jesus as his Lord and Saviour then and there publicly confessed Him, and experienced newness of life. His desert experience has turned into a paradise experience when Christ came into his life and he went on his way rejoicing!

Dear reader, do you have the assurance of salvation in your heart? Are your sins washed by the blood of the Lord Jesus, shed for the remission of your sins? If not, come to the Lord Jesus Christ right now, confess your sins to Him, and be washed by His precious blood and be saved!
