Welcome to my blog - “Bible Prophecy in Action”. The topic I decided to
consider in today's post is “Earthquakes in diverse places”. Any avid reader of
the daily Global news headlines would be able to vouch with this fact that we
have been seeing an increase in earthquakes in the last 2 decades. And with
each passing year, there has been a progressive increase in the frequency and
magnitude of these earthquakes, so much so that it is a part of the new normal.
Below given is a list of the most recent earthquakes with magnitude more than
4.5 on the Richter Scale:-
1. On Feb 03, 2022, 6.5 magnitude earthquakes strikes northern Peru near
Ecuador border.
2. An earthquake of (4.5) off Cyprus coast felt in Israel on 03rd Feb,
2022.
3. On Feb 02, 2022, 6.0 Quake hits near Darwin, Australia.
4. On 31st Jan, 2022, 4.5 Quake rattles Oklahoma.
5. On 30th Jan, 2022, 4.0 Quake Rattles Parts of San Diego, Riverside
Counties.
6. On 29th Jan, 2022, 5.1 Quake hits near Trinidad and Tobago.
7. On 28th Jan, 2022, Magnitude 6.6 earthquake strikes Kermadec Islands
region - USGS
So, the big question here is, why this alarming increase in earthquakes.
The Holy Bible (King James Version) in one portion (namely Matthew CH:24
& Vs7) mentions as below:-
“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom
against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and
earthquakes, in diverse places.”
This statement was
actually a part of the detailed reply by the Lord Jesus Christ to the question
of his disciples which we can see in the preceding verse 3 of the same chapter
(Mathew Ch:24 & V3) - Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall
be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
So, what we can make out of the question of the disciples is that they
wanted to know when would the Lord Jesus Christ return the second time again to
this world, and what would be signs preceding his soon coming 2nd return. The
Lord Jesus Christ gives a detailed account of the sure signs preceding his 2nd
return (when the whole world alive would see him). And one of those signs is
“Earthquakes in diverse places' '.
As I mentioned previously in this post, there has been an alarming
increase in earthquakes in the recent past, and this is going to lead into
bigger ones in the very near future until we see the biggest of the
earthquakes. You can check for this in the Holy Bible (Ezekiel Ch:38 &
V19). We see this deadly earthquake which is felt worldover. This earthquake to
happen soon would change the landscape of the whole world. This would in fact
change the power structure of the entire globe. Russia’s & America’s
superpower status would be overwhelmingly decimated and would also culminate in
the rise of the Revived Roman Empire which would cover and devour the whole
earth. This Revived Roman empire would be headed by the most powerful dictator
the world has ever seen, who would seek to kill and destroy all those who don’t
owe allegiance to him & worship him. The Holy Bible terms this period as
the Tribulation Period which lasts exactly for a period of 7 years.
So, would you want to remain here during this period, that’s my question
to you. The Holy Bible mentions very clearly, all those who have not believed
in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior would be left behind to face
the Tribulation period. And that period would be marked by utter lawlessness
apart from the deadly earthquakes, pestilences, nuclear warfare, God’s divine
judgments, etc.. that would hit this world like a flood. The Bible in (Matthew Ch24:
V22) mentions that:
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be
saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
So, the big question is what happens to those people who have put their
belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. The answer is simple as this, “They escape via
the Rapture”. The Lord Jesus Christ will appear secretly to call his people,
his church, his followers to be with him. So, what is all this, and how will it
happen? Pls refer the below scripture portions:-
1 Corinthians Ch 15: V51 - V57)
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all
sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the
last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and
this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on
incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be
brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy
victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin
is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus
Christ.
Also check, 1 Thessalonians Ch 4: V14 - V18
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord,
that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not
prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with
a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the
dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught
up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall
we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
For the sake of your better understanding, I would rather summarize this
way. The Terrible signs that we are beginning to see all around us, like deadly
earthquakes, deadly pestilences of diverse variants, high inflation, wars &
rumors of wars, economic devastation and the list is enormous…and all these
signs culminating at the same time..this is about to accelerate faster and get
deadlier in the next 5 years..will surely lead straight into the biblical
prophesied period of the 7 year tribulation period.
But the Lord Jesus is coming to save a
small group of people who have believed in him as their savior. I am one of
them, who have put my trust in the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord
Jesus Christ, as he is the only way, the truth and the life. So, what is so
special about the Lord Jesus Christ?..who is this person?..is he God?..what is
his nature?..Is he a God of Love?..Is he a God of judgment?..All this we would
be seeing in the next post..
